Privacy
How Pitchlist handles waitlist information and professional information published by news outlets.
Pitchlist is operated by SOFTLOGIC, a SASU registered in France (SIREN 101 233 401, RCS Lille Metropole), headquartered at 23 rue des Tisserands, 59700 Marcq-en-Baroeul, France. SOFTLOGIC is the data controller. Privacy contact: support@pitchlist.io. You can lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority (in France, the CNIL).
Waitlist
If you join the waitlist, we use your email address, profile and preferred plan to tell you when the beta opens and to ask at most one question about your needs. The legal basis is your consent. We do not sell this information. We keep it until the beta opens, for no longer than 12 months, unless you withdraw sooner.
Leave the waitlist
To leave the waitlist, write to support@pitchlist.io and we will remove your address within 30 days. Every email we send will also include a one-click unsubscribe link.
Enter the same email address and follow the confirmation link sent to it. Once confirmed, we remove the address from our database and, when configured, from Mailtrap. We retain only a one-way HMAC trace so that a later synchronization cannot recreate the contact.
Journalists in the directory
Pitchlist displays limited professional information found in bylines published by news outlets: name, outlet, topics, recent article titles and links, country and language. The directory includes a development sample from Apollo.io, removed before launch. We do not publish photos, biographies or email addresses at this stage. Our intended legal basis is legitimate interest. Profiles are retained only while a journalist has an article from the last 12 months. See information for journalists to request an update or removal.
Contact and removal requests
When you write to us through the contact form or by email, we use your name, email address and message only to answer you and to handle your request. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering, and our legal obligation when you exercise your data protection rights. We keep these requests for up to three years so that we can show how they were handled. For a validated removal, we keep only what is needed to exclude the profile permanently.
Visits and technical data
We count visits without cookies to measure whether our advertising test leads to waitlist signups. We record the day, landing page, campaign parameters and whether a Google click identifier was present, but never the identifier itself. To avoid counting the same visitor more than once per day, we create a daily, non-reversible HMAC fingerprint from the day, IP address and browser user agent. We never store the IP address or user agent. Our legal basis is legitimate interest in measuring demand for Pitchlist. We delete these visit measurements 30 days after the test ends.
Cloudflare hosts the service and may process technical request data such as IP addresses. We also use a daily HMAC of the IP address for anti-enumeration limits. Mailtrap manages waitlist contacts when configured. These providers may process data outside your country under their applicable transfer safeguards. The visit counter does not use cookies. Advertising cookies, if introduced, will require consent before their tags load.
Your rights
You may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability where applicable, withdraw consent to the waitlist, object to processing based on legitimate interest, and complain to your data protection authority.
